This year we are very excited to be setting up our own Digital Learning Team. In Scoil Fhionáin our aim is to be an active school in Ireland’s vision for STEM Education by providing a structured and child-centred STEM and Computational thinking education to all our pupils. We want STEM and Computational thinking to inspire the desire for children to enter a STEM career in the future by providing each pupil with this rich and educational experience and to see the value of STEM in the world we live in. Our leaders will play a very important role in our school by peer tutoring others and helping to set our vision for the school into action. We are delighted to have been able to invest in more technology in our school this year with huge thanks to our Parent’s Association Fundraiser held in June. Keep your eyes peeled on our website and Facebook page for coding projects, SCRATCH, Beebots, Microbits and much more!!
We were able to invest in some new equipment this year such as Beebots, Microbits and bluetooth key boards thanks to Sheehy’s Centra and our Parent’s Association. This will provide a super start to our year getting stuck into STEM and coding projects!
