This year we have decides to take part in the say “Yes” to languages module which introduces primary pupils to a new language. 5th & 6th classes will begin learning French through an eight week module which will kindly be facilitated by teachers Mr Anthony Punch and Ms Elaine McCarthy from our neighbouring secondary school, Scoil Pól.
We are very excited to begin this fun, interactive and engaging module which begins to set the foundations for an ongoing positive relationship with languages. Learning a new language not only enhances cognitive abilities but also promotes cultural diversity and opens doors to future academic and professional prospects. We here in Scoil Fhionáin always look to inspire and empower our pupils and feel that this introduction of the 8 week French Language programme is a wonderful addition to the holistic development of our pupils which we strive to achieve.
